About Me

Cathy Beasley is an American Screenwriter / Director / Producer / Cinematographer. She began her career as a ballet dancer before moving into acting. She studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and landed small roles before realizing she’d rather be behind the camera. Cathy attended the New York Film Academy campus in London, England to further her career behind the camera. She’s been creating films ever since. 

Cathy is someone who has never given up. She’s always believed she could do anything she sets her mind to. Since achieving her first successful budget for her film The Scapegoat back in 2012, Cathy is dedicated to continuing to learn and progress in this industry. Since The Scapegoat, she has gone on to create many short films, another feature film, and a documentary.  

Cathy is currently prepping to direct her next feature, Camp Love, a film set against the backdrop of women running out of time. A film very dear to her heart.  And her dark comedy script, Blue as the Ocean, is currently receiving major success at festivals.
